Daily Duties at Zip Mail Service:
Duties included quality control; sorting mail in the correct bins; and preparing and issuing mail trays to 60-70 mail sorters. Promoted to Assistant Supervisor 8/88 and Supervisor 9/90, overseeing approximately 63 employees. The supervisory duties included making sure employees were at workstations and perepared for assignment; and meeting rigid Post Office mail delivery deadlines. Promoted to Floor Manager 9/93 overseeing 90-115 employees.
