Daily Duties at Hanover Insurance Company:

*Oversee daily operation of the personal lines underwriting/processing team for the states of Connecticut,Maine,New Hampshire,Rhode Island and Vermont. Written premium $84 Million.Team consisted of 20 reports. * Oversaw the daily activities of the countrywide personal lines cancellation unit. The unit handled all personal lines cancellation/nonrenewal notices and other mandatory notices for all Hanover states with the exception of the midwest which was handled out of Michigan. * Monitored underwriting workflows/decisions on a daily basis to assure policies/endorsements were being issued in a timely manner and to assist with the mentoring of the less experienced underwritiers. Also performed a monthly audit in conjunction with the technical underwriting team from home office. *Revised Workflows and implemented a cross training program which enabled the team to maximize productivity. Cross trained processors with assistant underwriters, assistant underwriters with underwriters and cross trained underwriters across several states. Increased level of authority for all team members after completion of cross training. * Worked with agents, marketing, and underwriyters on different issues. *Met with senior corporate and regional managers to review product performance and develop satte strategies. Participated in agency council meetings semi-annually.Met with regional management, marketing, and underwriters to review the performance of each agent in the region. * Reviewed potential book rolls and decided whether or not to accept the book roll.
