Daily Duties at College Advising Corps Of Md :

• Work collaboratively with guidance staff, principals, teachers, and NCAN member agencies to increase the awareness, preparation, and college-going disposition of high school students. • Provide onsite advising and information about college, the application process, and financial aid. • Organize workshops and programming for students and their families; provide individualized support with college and financial aid applications; and track the progress of college-bound students using a nationwide database, WEST. • Co-Creator of quarterly newsletter distributed to eleventh and twelfth graders highlighting college advice and suggestions for high school goals. • Come up with creative ways to help high school students from economically challenged background overcome informational, economic, and emotional barriers preventing them from accessing higher education.
