Daily Duties at American Airlines:

Maintains a constant surveillance over flight and maintenance operations on shift, as unplanned emergencies occur, alerts appropriate line maintenance management, staff, and SOC. Directs the daily aircraft routing operation, insures all scheduled trips are covered. Coordinates maintenance repairs and arranges for any type of support required to affect the timely return to service of the disabled aircraft (including, but not limited to personnel, parts, chartering of aircraft for movement of parts and personnel). Maintains records pertaining to the status of the operation during assigned shift. Maintains computerized files to keep appropriate departments informed as to equipment status. Schedules the activities of the Tulsa Flight Test personnel. Maintains knowledge of FAR’s and other regulations governing the scheduled operation of company aircraft. In the absence of senior management represents the M&E department and acts on its behalf.
