Daily Duties at Check Free Corp.:
• Primary responsibility Management. Administration of all DEC/Alpha Systems. • Responsible for setting up two DEC/SNA gateways from Alpha to mainframe utilized in Production. • Provide Network Support - routers, switches, patch panel, Ethernet, X.25. • Manage and configure three DEC Alphas in a Y2K test environment. • Upgrade VMS operating system. Install VMS layered products. • Provide system performance tuning/management, system analysis and capacity planning. • Business continuity plan, development, testing and maintenance for system hardware. • Create Disaster/Recovery procedures. Perform Disaster/Recovery test. • Monitor/support SUN Solaris systems/Backup (Unix) • Configure disk storage - Stripe/Raid/Mirror sets. Configure hsj40/hsz50/hsg80 controllers (Storage Works Disk Arrays) • Create performance charts utilizing DEC_PA software and Microsoft excel spreadsheet.
