Daily Duties at Jp Morgan Chase:
Served on a team for merger related planning and activities for both the Bank One / First Chicago Merger, and the Bank One / JPMorgan Chase Merger Engaged in Day 1 Merger support for Bank One / JPMorgan Chase Merger Technical project lead on a team of 12 people on a large Corp. wide 2 year project and serve as an escalation point for troubleshooting issues related to applications, installations, and distributions Accountable, as Technical Lead, to represent integration lab on calls pertaining to project site deployments, directing resources to meet stated project milestones, providing senior management and directors with ongoing status reports, and working with senior management on process improvement opportunities Accountable for helping define highly repeatable organizational processes and procedures, document failures and successes, help plan risk assessment, and risk remediation, and some user training documentation for a large program featuring many sites being run as self contained projects, with the end result being a newly rolled out network infrastructure with a new application distribution system, all new desktop and laptop hardware, upgraded OS, and all repackaged and re-certified applications delivered to the new environment. Accountable for team building, from interviewing contractors and making recommendations, to managing resources on projects to best utilize staffing to best meet deadlines and milestones Accountable for requirement gathering, scope verification, serving as single point of contact for clients and vendors, and information gathering from cross functional teams on many differing projects over the span of 7 years Perform User Acceptance Testing, collaborate with clients to schedule, setup, and oversee the testing thru the use of virtual testing solutions, and the use of various tools, including Wise Studio conflict resolution database, Rational, and mercury testing tools, as well as manual tools, such as dependency walker, and resource monitor Participate in several large projects and large-scale roll outs; manage the process of scripting, QA, and troubleshooting for individual projects utilizing a mix of automated and manual toolsets Serve on a six-member team with members from various domains such as server engineering, architecture, and deployment that worked across organizational boundaries for purposes of R&D, Standards, and Processes and direction Accountable for research of new technologies, proof of concept, development, testing, and implementation of new technologies, documentation, standards, QA, application integration, customer experience, infrastructure, and deployment Accountable for initiative to virtualized lab environments, and realize an approximate 70% cost savings and increased efficiencies due to elimination of extra testing PCs, excessive lan usage, and decreased time to reimage test machines, thru the implementation of VMware for Desktops Accountable for India Off-Shore project, build outs of the AD and E-directory infrastructure environments, along with troubleshooting documentation, initial education of team, working with senior management to identify and address team weaknesses, and formulating plan to address team weaknesses Accountable for QA / Dev Active Directory, and E-Directory Infrastructures Setup and troubleshoot ZenWorks for desktops and servers Setup and support lab servers Netware 4 and Netware 6 servers, and MS 2000 and 2003 servers, SQL 2000, and 2005 Servers, IIS, and server backups Work with clients to identify requirements for projects, set timelines, meet deliverables, provide updates, build testing plans, provide management ongoing status reports Experience supporting Win95, Win98, WinNT, Win2000, WinXP, Win 2003 Server, SMS, AD, NDS, Citrix, VMware Desktop, VMware ESX and GSX, and Novell 4.x, 5.x, and 6.x environments and infrastructures
