Daily Duties at St Microelectronics:
• To sustain and improve all automated equipment performance indices to meet operation goals • Effectively disassemble/reassemble equipment to remove defective parts and make necessary repairs to restore equipment to optimal performance • Maximize uptime of equipment to sustain equipment performance • Effective troubleshooting of equipment-related issues and minimize equipment downtime • Co-ordinate with both process Engineers to ensure work is carried out efficiently to meet module objectives • Ensure good housekeeping and safety practices in the fab • Perform equipment preventive / corrective maintenance competently • Mentor, train and develop technicians • Study and improve machine capacity and ergonomics • Ensure calibration of measuring instruments are done timely and within specs • Assist in implementing CIP (Corrective Improvement Projects) • Assist in the installation and hook-up of new equipment • Perform vacuum leak checked by using Helium leak detector • Perform calibration of RF/ Microwave and Magnetron deposition system • Perform leak checking on gas delivery system • Develop and maintain inventory for process equipment and spare parts
