Daily Duties at Mtv Networks / Mtv.Com:

Responsible for the band Madina Lake as they produced a “Road to the VMA’s” video journal. Logged and transcribed tapes. Provided assistance to the editor and aided in the digitization of hours of footage to prepare videos for web launch. Assisted with the launch of the MTV reality show Band in a Bubble, working with the editor and helping digitize tapes that were loaded into an Avid System. Uploaded photos onto interactive fan website. Encoded videos into flash video format so they could be viewed on the band’s web-site. Built on the foundation of what I learned in my internship. Assisted in the production of Video Music Award (VMA) productions. Worked to refine and gain a more thorough understanding of day-to-day video production.

What they like about Mtv Networks / Mtv.Com:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
