Program Manager OMNI Project, Department of Corrections Olympia WA Jan 2006 to Mar 2007 (Peak Team size 50, Value $15 million) • Helped transition the troubled project from IBM and create multiple quick wins • Lead redesign exercise involving case management and records management. • Used parallel design and development scrums to ensure continuous communication between offshore and on-site teams • Developed and refined use cases, as-is and to-be process models, documented high level designs for the UI and logical models • Managed the overall data architecture of the project • Followed Agile SCRUM methodology to deliver incremental releases. • Provided creative redesigns to control scope and size of the project. • Planned, controlled and reported progress to working and steering committee Tools & Technology: J2EE, DB2, WebSphere portal, Visio, MS Project, SCRUM Project Manager, Electronic Court Records, King County, Seattle WA Sep 2005 to August 2006 (Team size 12, Value $2.2 million) • Electronic Court Records solution received “INNOVATIONS IN AMERICAN GOVERNMENT AWARD” for 2007 • This project involves development of document management solution for the electronic filing, processing, and viewing court cases. • Actively managed expectations and re-built the application from a near cancellation situation and delivered the benefits in 6 months • The project followed a SCRUM methodology to iteratively and empirically deliver business value. The tight control of SCRUM methodology allowed us to deliver this solution on a fixed cost and duration. • Developed a SaaS model to deliver the product features to other district courts • Managed the maintenance and support for the modules of e-filing and record processing which are currently in production. Tools & Technology: Microsoft VB.Net, Enterprise Architect, NUnit, ACT Program Manager, Registry Common Services, Edmonton, AB January 2004 to August 2005 (Peak Team size 25, Value $2.5 million) • Successfully implemented Ivar Jacobsen’s Reuse model in the system of interconnected systems paradigm using classic RUP development model • Project involved development of enterprise reusable common services to support a legacy renewal project with a budget of 200 million over 7 years • Managed development and transition of 8 common services to be reused by 4 application systems built by independent vendors • Created release plans managed two major releases a year and a few minor releases • Managing the expectations of the application teams and diverse stakeholder groups Tools &Technology: Microsoft .Net, C#, Service oriented architecture, complete rational toolset, Application Center Test
