Assisted patients in 5 different hospitals in applying for Medicaid and Social Security Disability by completing and processing application for state and federal programs. Acted as mediator between patients and the Department of Family and Children Services. Worked together with attorneys, account representatives, agents, doctors and medical records to obtain information to file claim. Assisted hospital personnel in County Indigent Health Care Programs. Provided weekly documentation to hospital's billing department. Daily entry on all medical assistance applications for hospital and corporate office. Updated files daily by contacting DFAC or Social Security on status of claims. Attended court hearings when necessary.
