Daily Duties at Nasa Ames Research Center:

Responsible for: designing compact feed forward neural models with small training data sets; integrating neural networks with a gradient-based optimizer and a genetic algorithm to optimize high-lift settings of a three-element airfoil by maximizing the lift coefficient to reduce the cost, turnaround time and CPU time of design process; leading multi projects and directing various engineering teams on budgeting and specific goal oriented projects. • Wrote and produced the 1998 Research and Technology Report for NASA Ames Research Center Aeronautics Directorate, resulting in receiving the NASA Spotlight Award for reporting excellence. • Created and implemented optimization tool to reduce required numerical or experimental data and resources required to train an optimizer to find optimal value, resulting in 40% reduction in required resources. • Led multifunctional team to generate rapid-prototype tools for control systems development of hypersonic aircraft, resulting in successful completion of research goals within budget.
