Daily Duties at Rhode Island Hospital :
Monitoring all types of systems during the day. Troubleshooting when a problem arose. All types of backups, restores on different types of sytems. Monitoring the backups, re-running them when necessary. All types of data transfers. Working with different vendors to troubleshoot all types of problems, hardware and software. Working with the help desk to fix troubleshooting problems, and making sure they are completed on a timely basis. Working in the Data Entry Department completing jobs daily on a timely and accurately basis. Using Eclypsis program to run jobs, print jobs, troubleshoot when jobs abend and re-run them. Working with the Production Control Department staff and filling in when staff took vacation time. Making sure the daily jobs running on Eclypsis program were run successfully and on time. Working with different departments of the Hospital with questions and information they needed answered, concerning running special jobs during day and when they needed to be run at night. Also working with the tape libarian, making sure we have enough tapes, rotating tapes, retrieving tapes when needed for restores. Pulling tapes for the libarian daily.
