Daily Duties at Serco/Washington Navy Yard & Bolling Air Force Base:
• Developed management directives using STARS-FL, CFMS and REMARKS while performing analysis and review for special appropriations within Commander Navy Installations Command (CNIC). • Conducted audits of the Travel Card Program for Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy (DoN) ensuring no misappropriation of travel card use. • Prepared and presented timely reports on delinquent accounts and inappropriate usage within the Command and region. • Maintains budgetary records that monitor obligations and expenditures throughout the execution phase of the annual operating budget. Verified that obligations and expenditures occur on a timely basis in accordance with annual obligation plans, regulatory controls, and are within programmed amounts. • Analyzed and performed complex financial analysis supporting budget patterns and enhanced financial cost management policies and practices. • Manages and takes corrective actions to resolve Aged Commitments, Unmatched Disbursements, Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs). • Records and reports processes keeping track of budgetary transactions, e.g., transfer, allotment, withdrawal, obligation or outlay of funds. • Interpreted accounting reports, performed obligation and validation on accounts. Created multiple organizational tools used to track contracts and equipment. Formerly with Alutiiq and IAP World Services transitioned with new awardees twice and served in the capacity listed above.
