Daily Duties at Lucent Technology, Bell Laboratories:

Directed management and administration of color program spanning a broad range of telecommunication services. Managed color and appearance standards program. Assessed paint manufacturers and applicators. Oversaw color software development and perform as site webmaster. Served as the North American Supplier Control Manager (Paints & Plastics) spanning a broad range of telecommunication services. Recognized as subject matter expert on all color issues including designer interface, manufacturing and problem resolution. • Evaluated new and existing suppliers’ quality programs (injection molding and paint) along with designed inspection programs that improved a product’s overall quality level. • Created and documented paint/texture specifications for the entire corporation that standardized the final product level’s quality. • Developed 3 Design of Experiments (DOE) along with 5 outdoor life studies that determined which vendor’s technology had long range quality benefits to incorporate in future projects. • Monitored piece part quality via assessments, 1st article layouts and source inspections, and quality programs to verify supplier conformance. • Interfaced internally and externally with over 150 organizations on quality topics ranging from standard development to corrective actions which improved communications and upgraded quality. • Conducted seminars on color theory, cosmetic inspection and the combination of colors/textures, thus increasing the workforce knowledge. • Served as Voting Representative on the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) Color and Appearance Technical Standards Committee to keep up with cutting edge technology and communicate this to the corporation.
