Daily Duties at Mci Telecommunications:
Maintenance of microwave repeater sites including 45 kilowatt generator at each site. Perform troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance of AT&T DR6 digital microwave radios, battery plants, chargers and multiplex equipment. Complete annual FCC reports for each site to maintain compliance. Other responsibilities include maintenance of fiber optics sites, helicopter-dispatched fiber optic cable splicing, loss measurements utilizing OTDR, cable locates, supervision of fiber optic cable installation and associated multiplex equipment.
