Daily Duties at Sprint Nextel:
Maintenance of cellular base stations (cell sites) and associated equipment. Included is DS1 interface (CSU), microwave radios, battery plants and rectifiers, diversity antenna system troubleshooting, intermodulation/interference troubleshooting, limited air conditioner maintenance and field system performance utilizing drive test software. Perform initial compliance testing and turn-up for new cell sites. Other responsibilities include BDA system repair at customer locations, which requires the resolution any customer concerns. Technician Group Leader responsible for solving complex technical problems associated with the network. Review distribution, coordination and work assignments for technicians and make recommendations to management regarding personnel actions and departmental procedures.
