Daily Duties at Ltbb Gaming Enterprise, Odawa Casino Resort:

Responsible for the transition, implementation and startup of information systems which supports local and centralized business operations as well as developing the strategic planning for the business IT needs. Directed the activities and personnel development of staff of network engineers/administrators and technicians supporting all business functions of $120 million gaming facility. Lead the corporate IT staff responsible for the maintenance and installation of hardware/software systems. • Led the installation of 50 plus servers supporting SQL Server 2005, Server 2003, IBM I Series, Micros POS, Opera Hotel Reservation System, Konami Gaming and Blackberry Enterprise. • Coordinated the installation of a comprehensive security package including Symantec, Cisco PIX, Netpro, Surf Control, Spector and Idera Auditing software. • Lead on Technology team providing consulting services for the selection and installation of network infrastructure, telecommunication system and various IT projects while transitioning from a small casino to a 300,000 sq. ft, multimedia gaming facility with a budget of fewer than 6 million dollars. • Developed a yearly budget encompassing cost for delivery of projects, hardware/system replacement/purchase and software upgrades/implementation. • Implemented the development and utilization of a complete Intranet site used for employee communication giving all employees online access to email, policies and procedures and the ability to voice their opinion to the General Manager. • Utilized vendor negotiations for proposals in various arenas of the industry including entertainment, telecommunications and IT. Ensuring that all regulatory items were addressed and contracts were reviewed by appropriated legal entities prior to signatures being applied. • Responsible for negotiations with both cellular and digital telecommunications creating a savings of more the $30,000.00 per year in calling packages. • Member of the Senior Leadership Oversight Committee responsible for efficiently identifying industry trends, business processes, system platforms and infrastructure needs related to service delivery achieving excellent delivery of service with latest technology in the gaming facility. • Assisted back of house departments in meeting their expectations in product selection to achieve their business objectives. • Interacted with Senior Management and key users to establish guidelines and training documentation for new product implementations and installations. • Developed and implemented planned goals by providing strategic direction and tactical proficiency through cost saving initiatives including business alternatives, operating budgets and project cost. • Generated a monthly budget report detailing cost analyst (budget), department performance, resource utilization and project achievements. • Developed departmental skills initiative and implementation for IT Department resources, succession planning and skills development throughout the department. • Responsible for purchase and installation of Cisco VoIP telecommunications system with Poly Com conference capabilities. • Established service standards for multiple areas including helpdesk, applications support and gaming support. • Responsible for hiring and termination, retaining, developing training guidelines and motivating staff utilizing yearly performance reviews while providing ongoing evaluations of their performance strengths and weaknesses. Hardware and software: SGI Systems, IBM I Series, HP Blade Servers, Dell Desktop and Laptops, HP Printers, Cisco Routers, Cisco PIX, Cisco VoIP Call Manager, Microsoft Windows XP Pro, Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project 2003, Konami Forcise, Oracle Database, Symantec, Netpro and Surf Control, Great Plains Financials and HR software, API, AIMS.
