Daily Duties at Con Agra Foods:

Provided HR management services for a lean manufacturing Fortune 500 company, supporting multiple locations. • Successfully recruited culturally diverse population, with 13 languages represented. • Collaborated with other human resources staff at other plants on projects & issues - IA, OH, NC & IN • Revised job descriptions to align with corporate goals and employee performance management system. • Networked with government agencies & non-profit organizations for employee development, recruitment efforts & other resources. • Strategic in the smooth transition of 2 plant closings /layoffs: • Announcement, employee relations, state/government documentation, severance/retention agreements, on-site trainings/job fairs, & worked with corporate benefit/legal department • Created new employee handbook, streamlined policies & procedures, directed focus groups for input. • Direct involvement with full recruitment cycle including for non-exempt and exempt job posting: • Job posting approvals , interviews, drafting offer letters, drug/health assessment, background checks, conducted new hire, safety orientations & processed paperwork for payroll/benefits • Assisted management with compensation changes, by conducting salary surveys, presented pay range proposal to upper management and implemented new pay structures. • Restructured departments/jobs & transitioned staff/employees into new roles. • Trained & coached managers/supervisors/employees on corporate initiatives & process changes. • Worked with managers to develop succession plans for management team • Participated in monthly plant financial, regional HR and employee communications meetings. • Managed benefit administration/open enrollments, audits, STD, FMLA & accommodations meetings. • Utilized PeopleSoft/Brass Ring for tracking of employee/applicant data. • Represented organizations during Sarbanes-Oxley internal audit and Affirmative Action external audit. • Managed the paperwork for performance review process, corrective counseling, resignations/terminations, exit interviews & unemployment cases. • Supervised staff – permanent, temporary and intern
