Daily Duties at Honeywell:
Performed several projects simultaneously to maintain the current production rate one hundred thousand spark plug shells daily. Performed several studies to determine the ideal temperature and position in which to weld the tips on the shells, made adjustments to 27 machine welders. Worked in conjunction with in-house machine shop to design and fabricate quills to prevent cross threading in 24 chucker machines. First co-op to complete the Honeywell Six Sigma Greenbelt certification in Spring 2004. Implemented LETS database system to 83 machines saving approximately $50,000 annually. Programmed PLC’s with Optic Sensors to detect faults in 4 production lines. Integrated Six Sigma methods before and after projects using Minitab and capability studies. Created standardized LETS help guide to be used by the Consumer Products Division.
