Daily Duties at Netcom Africa Limited:

Project Management: Orchestrated the procurement and deployment of all systems and related hardware, software and data communications as allocated through a $100K transmission project budget for Netcom Africa transmission expansion and last mile project. Managed over $500K worth of inventoried equipment, frequencies, Node B and INC, Microwave radio, routers and switches, and software packages. Maintained a stringent item control tracking item whereabouts and usage. Led a team of contractors and field engineers in performing complex repairs, upgrades, and configuring new hardware. Established RMA and service shipping agreement with IP Wireless and Allgon Microwave, Skypilot radio, Cisco routers and switches and assured rapid response and availability of replacement parts for overseas locations. Collaborated in the negotiation of a leased 21Mbps data (voice and data) for Shell Nigeria and established vital connections between remote locations and headquarters. Expertise in network design, supervision, installation, commissioning, decommissioning and optimization of relocated base station and last mile solution for corporate clients. Experiences in RF Planning for microwave network using IP Wireless TUIP, Global Mapper, MapInfo RFI Test and Pathloss mapping programs. Coordinated the recent upgrade and enhancement of 3G Network of Netcom Africa with two major contractors-Anchor Telecomms and DrausNet Ltd. Systems Analysis and Design: Expertise in network design, supervision, installation, commissioning, decommissioning and optimization of relocated base station and last mile solution for corporate clients. Experiences in RF Planning for microwave network using IP Wireless TUIP, Global Mapper, MapInfo RFI Test and Pathloss mapping programs. Coordinated the recent upgrade and enhancement of 3G Network of Netcom Africa with two major contractors-Anchor Telecomms and DrausNet Ltd. Training: Provided technical hands-on and classroom training on equipment operation for field engineers. Wrote technical documents for Engineering Department in preparation of TL9000 Certification.
