Daily Duties at Food L Ion:

Frozen Food Manager - Managed the frozen food department of store with approximately 240K weekly sales - Ordered and stocked product following company standard practice - Controlled back stock levels by using company ordering process while still maintaining high product levels and minimal controllable out of stocks - Worked with upper-management on setting displays and merchandising efforts - Prepared department for inventories - Ensured that product was delivered to the customer as fresh as possible by utilizing a section specific rotational program - Reduced departmental shrink due to poor product management in less than 1 year - Ensured that the department was clean and product was displayed neatly to the customer Specialty Food and Items Manager - Responsible for all aspects of the Specialty Foods department including ordering, stocking, conditioning, and merchandising - Preformed orders to keep shelves full and minimize back stock and controllable out of stocks - Utilized a stocking program that ensured minimal loss on high theft items - Utilized merchandising ideas to display promotional items for maximum exposure to customers - Utilized warehouse frequent out of stocks to plan orders so that the store always had these products in stock. Assistant Grocery Manager - Received trucks from the warehouse and verified correct product - Organized the product by department upon receipt - Managed a group of 4-6 stockers on a daily basis to make sure the daily needs of the grocery department were taken care of - Assisted the assistant manager in building displays and merchandising efforts - Made out the grocery orders to ensure good product levels while generating minimal back stock - Ensured that the department maintained proper shelf conditioning for customers - Prepared the sales floor and back room for inventories Assistant Customer Service Manager - Managed a staff of 15-30 employees on a daily basis - Assisted the customer service manager in the daily operations of the front end associates - Reconciled cash drawers as well as prepared deposits - Preformed money order and western union services for the customers - Handled customer returns as well as questions and problems
