Daily Duties at Freelance Editorial/Marketing Specialist:
Provide a wide range of editing, writing and marketing services to Fortune 500 and midsize companies • Copy-edit and proofread articles for association newsletter • Copy-edit and proofread articles for Broadcasting & Cable (Reed Business Information, NY, NY); work onsite reporting to the Copy Chief to copy-edit, fact-check and proofread articles using InDesign and InCopy. Collect changes from writers and editors, make edits and circulate pages for final approval. Work against daily deadlines and participate in weekly meetings • Write grant proposals and plan award ceremonies for The Women’s Venture Fund, a NY-based nonprofit • Copy-edit articles for Editorial Studio, LLC (a Montclair, NJ-based editorial agency) • Write web content, advertorials, news articles, newsletters, presentations and talking points • Possess excellent project management skills • Accustomed to detail- and deadline-oriented environments Accomplishments • Consistently deliver high-quality work that wins repeat business and referrals • Win a wide array of clients, including Arrow Electronics, Newsday’s Distinction and Parents & Children magazines, New York Institute of Technology, United Business Media and Ziff-Davis
