• As founding deputy editor, I played a key role in developing the celebrity start-up, which hit 1.3 million circulation within two years, and was named Launch of the Year by USA Today. • Conceptualize and produce cover stories and up to 20 pages of lifestyle features on hourly, daily and weekly deadlines for print and the web. • Oversee coverage of diet, fitness, plastic surgery, body, fashion, beauty. • Assign reporters. • Write and edit display copy, news and features, and captions. • Collaborate with art director, designers and photo editors on layouts and photo editing. • Manage a department of 10, including a West Coast bureau.
