Daily Duties at Gaston County Department Of Social Services:
• Function as an intensive counselor and case manager for a limited number of families in this program on a 24 hour/7 days a week basis • Team building, case staffing, consultations, referral, case management, advocacy and skill building • Develops a network of resources and referral sources to assist clients • Explain program requirements, restrictions and obligations to clients; advises clients of rights and procedures; assists families with development of service plan to achieve desired goals. • Present educational information to community groups and individuals. • Writes narrative reports regarding assessment, counseling and other actions taken.
