Daily Duties at Dekalb Medical Center:
Registered Nurse (Relief Charge Role) on Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit 3600. Responsible for supervising 2 to 8 members on a given shift as well as maintain patient assignment. Patient demographic consisted of adult patients who had undergone total hip/knee replacement, cerebrovascular accident with a wide range of neurological deficits, general weakness related to medical illness such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia or heart disease, vascular surgeries such as femoral popliteal bypass, amputations, multiple sclerosis and diabetes. Acted as patient, family and staff liason to resolve conflict and advocate for patient care.
