Daily Duties at Michael's Finer Meats & Seafoods, Inc:
Improved the efficiency and accuracy of product order picking by 25% by reorganizing the freezer and cooler, creating a standard placement system, and utilizing a computer program to communicate product placement to order pickers. Supervised and managed 15-20 employees in order fulfillment and production areas. Organized pre-shipment preparation of food products in multiple areas to ensure orders were filled and packaged accurately, safely, and on schedule. Responsible for front office evening operations including managing customer and sales representative phone calls, communicating shortages and outages, managing product substitutions to meet customer needs, and completing invoicing requirements. Collaborated with outside vendors to oversee the maintenance schedule for company trucks and refrigeration units. Managed, researched, and coordinated truck routes, customer availability, and loading of food product with delivery schedules for trucks traveling to nine states. Organized and coordinated customer invoices to facilitate the loading of products onto trucks. Created a Driver Training & Information Manual standardizing procedures for delivery drivers to improve communication and expectations regarding driver responsibilities.
