Daily Duties at At&T:
SR. LEAD PROJECT/PROGRAM MANAGER – Principal Member of Technical Staff (2005) Managed technology projects for Worldwide Customer Services organization. Managed and provided network integration and deployment services to customers from purchase phase through installation and vendor management services. Worked closely with foreign partners overseas to deliver global solutions and cross-border deployments. Oversaw projects such as network assessment and integration, staging & implementation, transition, migration, and IP telephony services to customers. Evaluated customer/vendor contracts, pricing, billing, vendor services, SLAs, and project status. Prepared and delivered status and financial reports to customers and management. SR. LEAD PROJECT/PROGRAM MANAGER – Senior Member of Technical Staff (1999-2005) Led and directed full project life cycles for BVOIP, CVOIP, IP, Switching, and Routing projects. Supervised and directed 6 PM(s). Coordinated cross-functional teams as large as 50 persons. Evaluated vendor platforms and technical solutions for AT&T Global Network. Created project charter, project plan /schedule, and quality metrics documents. Provided technical contribution in the development of requirements and design documents and operational technical plans. Developed RFP(s) working with IT architects. Identified risks and developed mitigation plan. Turned around and completed several highly valuable projects for company. Championed internal and external quality process improvement. Improved profitability by facilitating training cost reduction negotiations with vendors. Coordinated company’s first-ever web-based training session in conjunction with vendor. Recipient of numerous company awards for superior performance and quality. Managed vendors such as LUCENT, NORTEL, SIEMENS, COMVERSE, SYLANTRO. Developed and managed products for external clients such as MBNA, GEICO, COMCAST, others. PROJECT LEADER / SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEERING CONSULTANT (1998-1999) Played major role on numerous systems engineering web based projects for AT&T WorldNet Services’ Internet Architecture. Defined and managed success criteria and project risks. Developed project plans, coordinated tasks, and authored technical requirements and business impact analysis documentation. Assisted with product scope definition. Earned multiple teamwork, quality, and accomplishment awards.
