Daily Duties at Richmond American Homes:

I met with new home buyers to help them with the selection of their interior finishes and colors, plumbing fixtures, lighting and appliances. My goal was to explore all design possibilities to create a unique living environment. Richmond had their own mortgage department and I often worked with them in guiding the homeowner, when necessary, to keep within budget. After selections were made, I prepared purchase orders, including bids for custom options and entered them into the system to be ordered. I continued to provide customer service throughout the process of selections and installations by communicating with the superintendents and project managers; often on site. I was also responsible for finish and color selections for spec homes. Product knowledge and sales skills were constantly developed through the company and manufacturers representatives. I successfully completed the Integrity Selling program, which increased my individual sales numbers, as well as the design center sales from 5.8% to 9.6%.
