Daily Duties at Usaf 512th Rescue Squadron :

Managed and developed short-and-long range scheduling plans for the USAF's only H-60 formal training unit. Published daily schedules for formal school students, permanent party instructor currency and unit instructor indoctrination training. Monitored currency for over 125 formal school students per year. Exercised general supervisory duties over 80 students per year. Ensured students met all requirements for course completion. Counseled students when performance standards were not met. Made recommendations to commander on whether to retain or eliminate problem students. Assisted the scheduling officer in planning detailed flying hour program in excess of 3,500 hours of the unit's 13 assigned helicopters. Fully qualified HH-60G evaluator Flight Engineer; instructed and evaluated both formal school students, permanent party instructors and instructor candidates in contact, emergency procedures, unprepared area/remote operations; tactical mission events to include both day and night vision goggle aerial refueling, low-level flight operations down to 50 feet above ground level, weapons employment with GAU-2 minigun and alternate insertion/extraction operations including hoist, fast rope, rope ladder and rappel. NCO of the Year.
