● As Manager and Vice-President was accountable for supervising a team tasked with tuning and re-engineering for performance of the entire portfolio of about 65,000 daily and 15,000 non-daily production jobs in a highly intensive and mission-critical multi-CPU environment.  Organized, staffed, developed, and managed the Application Performance and Tuning team that realized an average annual savings of $6,000,000 in computing cost.  Accountable for staff hiring, training and retention, periodic performance reviews, salary upgrades, and promotion as manager of the team.  Performed in-depth analysis of systems and processes, modified and tested programs, and recommended changes for efficiency and cost reduction.  Recommended, negotiated, and persuaded users and developers to implement changes to applications and processes to improve resource usage and performance.  Coordinated the Validation and Regression Tests of 3rd party software implementations and upgrades (e.g. SORT, BatchLSR, etc…).  Developed and taught “Best Practices” mini-courses for application programmers and analysts to write efficient, cost-effective programs and processes.  Maintained the department’s ETL and Performance Management Reporting system.  Accountable for tracking, collecting, documenting, reporting, and presenting Performance and Tuning changes and metrics
