Daily Duties at Reilly Industries, Inc.:
Prepare and distribute site Emergency Response Plan and required annual EPA reports (includes Semiannual Wastewater, Hazardous Waste, Annual TIER II, and Toxic Release Inventory reports) Work directly with Reilly main-office and government regulatory personnel Compile data and prepare monthly emission reports for the Granite City plant Administer safety and health orientation to new employees Schedule & perform monthly safety meetings for 30 plant employees Compile, maintain, and distribute monthly Carbon plant safety, environmental, & transportation metrics Investigate incidents and near-miss occurrences, prepare written reports, and delegate necessary corrective actions Perform safety audits in the facility, with facility union representatives and solo Set up annual safety training schedule and distribute training material to 3 Reilly Carbon facilities Inspect safety equipment (fire extinguishers, 4-gas monitors, etc.) as per maintenance schedule Inspect, placard, and prepare and sign paperwork for hazardous waste shipments to approved waste disposal companies Provide technical support to the team responsible for operation of on-site wastewater treatment system Work directly with OSHA and EPA personnel during on-site inspections Provide emergency first aid for in-plant injuries Perform quarterly personnel air-space monitoring on plant personnel Prepare quarterly Statistical Quality Control charts and distribute them to Customers and Reilly senior management As Carbon SBU Quality Manager, travel to off-site Reilly location and perform support work for ISO 9001:2000 audits Perform ISO internal audits Update ISO Quality Manual and procedures as needed, including the switch from ISO 9002:1994 to ISO 9001:2000 Supervised 4 quality control laboratory technicians operating 24/7 (2000-2005) Provide guidance and technical support for the laboratory staff (2005-2006)
