Daily Duties at Morehouse School Of Medicine:

 Manage the Morehouse School of Medicine’s (MSM) Employee Benefit, Employee Relations and Employment directives in a culturally diverse environment of over 1100 employees.  In the absence of the VP, provided HR leadership relevant to staffing, employment, classification/compensation, records management, training, performance management and HRIS directives.  Facilitate continuous comparative analysis between existing organizational directives and similarly situated organizations to assure competitive benefits programs enhancements; the establishment and maintenance of effective broker and vendor relations to ensure maximum effectiveness in program administration.  Manage employee relations initiatives within the institution to assure an effective and productive work culture.  Provide advice, counsel and support to managers, supervisors and employees to assure apt interpretation and application of employee relations and associated policies, practices, and procedures.  Coordinates resolution of employee relations inquiries, issues and problems with potential organizational wide impact per institution, state and federal policy guidelines.  Communicate with senior leadership on matters relating to employee suspensions, layoffs, and terminations to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, policies, procedures, and acceptable management practices.  Ensure the continual review of the institutional compensation program to maintain a competitive total rewards program.  Assumed the position of Manager, Benefits/Compensation in January 2007
