Daily Duties at Meridian Automotive Systems:

• Collaborated with plant management in multi-plant settings to develop procedures applied by “TPS” to sustain continuous improvement methods. Facilitated associate training and lead Kaizen initiatives of assemble areas with a focus on process, customer demand, 5-S, standardization, and problem solving to realize over 1.5 million dollars in annual labor savings. • Established nine low functioning assembly cells which resulted in 47% reduction in labor (17 people down to 9). • Developed and implemented (TPM) Total Productive Maintenance with the engineering team to utilize valuable time for assembly set-up and changeover with increased uptime by 50%. • Performed daily/weekly/monthly audits to ensure quality was being met and procedures were being followed per customer’s control plan. • Streamlined material flow, through the "Pull System" using Kanban capabilities by reducing inventory levels and minimizing (WIP) Work in Process with buffer/safety stock by 50%. • Performed pre-production Kaizens on new programs generating an average of 20% labor reduction by coordinating and developing job procedures, line performance, shop floor lay-out, work standards, process flow charts to support resolution of issues based on projected business forecasts that effect launch. • Created (PPFP) Plan for Every Part database for packaging in central supermarket with high volume shared components forecasted to reduce inventory costs by delivering (JIT) Just-in-Time parts to cell stations. • Successfully directed 20 associates on all respective shifts to increase throughput, eliminate wastes, and improve efficiency. 50% reduction in minimal scrap solved with root cause analysis and troubleshooting processes. • Generated preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment with lock-out/tag-out procedures. Ensuring safety polices and procedures were being followed 100% effective. • Led business unit of best quality practices in exterior lighting division using standardized formats in support of TS16949 quality system. • Managed production control and verified quality standards of finished goods for customer orders to generate 100% on-time-delivery.
