Daily Duties at Hpm:
- Transition new products from development to manufacturing - Reduce manufacturing costs - Tool design - Some Solidworks design - NC Turret & Laser machine programming - CAD/CAM software - Manufacturing processes - Create/check bill of materials for buyer Prepare jobs to be run in a sheet metal fabrication shop. Program NC- turret and laser machines using CAM. Generate or check processes and bill of materials needed to produce parts, weldments or assemblies. Import, export and transfer CAD files. Ensure jobs are run the most economical way for the quantity ordered. Design and have tools made to accomplish this if necessary. Make Solidworks drawings from the customer's cad-files to use in the shop to manufacture parts as some customers do not provide dimensioned blue prints. Propose suggestions on changes to the customer part for cost reductions. Some modeling in Solidworks of parts for customers.
