Daily Duties at Defense Contract Management Agency:
Senior management assistant for a staff of 300 civilian and military personnel, covering Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Responsible for travel orders, scheduled travel (to include hotel, flight and rental car booking, and itineraries). Establish, organize, and maintain files and records. Performed files management for entire deputate, which included annual coordination to ensure all files were in compliance with Army regulations; completed reports to higher headquarters for files, travel and supply purchases; created correspondence for entire deputate based on knowledge of material and regulations. Some correspondence included that of a highly sensitive nature, which was treated with confidentiality. Routed and screened telephone calls to appropriate department. Met visitors, ensured visitors were met and escorted to the proper department. Started an annual meeting for health benefits for employees. This had never been accomplished at this office. Maintained calendarfor both Commander and Deputy Commander, which required very close attention to detail; scheduled conferences and meetings for local office and higher headquarters. Routine office faxing, copying. Proficient in all Microsoft XP applications to include Word, Power Point, Excel, Publisher, OneNote, InfoPath, and Access.
