Daily Duties at The Villa Group:

Based on results at Villa Del Palmar, I was promoted to take responsibility for all Villa Group properties. Responsible for 1,160 rooms and 1,200 employees. Villa del Palmar Cabo San Lucas is a five star resort with 457 units consisting of large junior, one bedroom, two bedroom deluxe and three bedroom suites; Villa La Estancia, a Grande Tourism Resort that currently has 157 two bedroom deluxe condominiums with an additional one; Hotel Santa Fe, a three star hotel in Cabo San Lucas with 40 suites; Villa Del Palmar Puerto Vallarta, a five star resort in the heart of Puerto Vallarta with a combination of junior, one bedroom, two bedroom, and three bedroom suites for a total of 420 units; Villa Del Mar, a four star hotel with a combination of junior, one bedroom, two bedroom and three bedroom suites with a total of 130 units. Villa del Palmar Flamingos in Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit, opened in 2004, this project had on the initial stage 55 two bedroom, lock off suites. Upon completion, in the next years to come 200 suites. • Structured and developed the Corporate Purchasing Department achieving first year savings of $500,000. • Developed and implemented a Corporate Systems Department with an established business plan to replace front office and back of house systems in two years generating $24,000.00 savings in maintenance and travel expense per month. • Successfully opened Villa La Estancia, a Grand Tourism Resort with 55 units and a rack rate of $1,000.00 per night on December 15, 2001. • Launched the rental program allowing timeshare owners to transfer their weeks to the hotel side for availability as hotel rooms. Initial launch results banked 200 units daily in the first two months enabling sales to surpass previous year hotel occupancy rates. • Launched the rental program for Full Ownership Members of our deluxe property, Villa La Estancia, achieving 75% of the owner base to transfer units for hotel use. • Structured a Corporate Sales Department that has surpassed 2001 Sales in Puerto Vallarta and has maintained the number one position on the F.I.T. Market from the Wholesaler base for Cabo San Lucas. • In conjunction with the Developers negotiated an 11% increase in management fees from the Timeshare Association. • Prepared budgets for 2001 and 2002 achieving 100% for Cabo San Lucas in 2001 and achieving 86% for Puerto Vallarta in 2001 considering the state of the economy which directly affected tourism. • Successfully delivered 92% of the 2001 business plans for all resorts. • Improved the overall customer satisfaction rating for all resorts with an overall rating of 92%. • Implemented a Corporate Training Department with an established curriculum that is responsible for ensuring every staff member participates in a monthly training class resulting in direct career path development.
