Daily Duties at The Grand Baja Resort And Spa:

Due to a big success and great reputation that the Villa Group hotels and Resorts experienced in the past years, I was approached by other developers to create a new Hotel, Time share operating company. Among their immediate plans they offered me to open their first Time Share, Resort in Cabo San Lucas, with future plans of expanding the company to include the opening of 4 additional Resorts in Mexico, such as Ixtapa, Puerto Vallarta and Muleje, B.C.S. As part of the package negotiated I was 25% partner in this new Corporation. As things developed their financial situation became critical and the opening of their first Resort, scheduled for 2004, was way past due. Based on this unfortunate situation I feel I needed to pursuit new opportunities with a more solid and stable company. • While developing a new Hotel Operating Company I opened a Luxury five stars -252 Units Resort- including 3 restaurants, 2 bars, Banquet Facilities, Room Service, Fitness Centre, Spa, Deli-Supermarket, Internet-Café, Pharmacy, Travel agency, Money exchange, Laundromat, Kits club. • Responsible for the preparation of the soft-opening and projected Budget for the first year of operations, 2004. • Responsible for developing the structure, organizational chart, salary scale, outlets concept, definition and negotiation of the opening operating equipment need. • Responsible for developing an opening critical path for all division heads and hiring executives. • Responsible for the resort’s positioning on the market by defining a sales and marketing strategy. • Developed and prepared the first year of operation’s business plan, for the entire Resort. • Developed and introduced all training programs for the opening and the first year of operations. • Developed and introduced innovative packages to the wholesalers and the direct public in general. • Direct involved on the opening of the pre-sales offices, generation of couples, sales and Marketing and the operation of the Resort. What they like about The Grand Baja Resort And Spa:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
