Daily Duties at Merrill Lynch:
Vice President Mortgage Backed Securities Systems Managed technical support team for the Mortgage Back Securities system. Monitored project/task progress for adherence to established schedules. Determined functional requirements and provided technical specifications including trouble shooting and problem resolution. Directed and/or participated in strategic planning regarding all systems development • Re-organized Service/Support team and provided cross-functional training that improved efficiency and system down time. • Standardized and improved processes and procedures for systems enhancements that allowed problems to be resolved in an organized and timely manner. • Created a database to track work flowing through the group that enabled managers to comprehensively review and prioritize budget requests. • Reorganized the on call support function that provided training in resolving nightly batch issues. This allowed project leaders to return to their primary function. • Wrote comprehensive employee coaching model that turned around under performing employees and resulted in personal recognition from Human Resources who recommended it to other managers in the organization. • Participated in the design and project planning and management of a new multi company function, which would increase revenue to the company with its implementation and subsequent sign on of new clients. • Handled company downsizing by employee evaluations to ensure minimal loss of technical expertise.
