Daily Duties at Millennium Challenge Corporation:
• Coordinate public affairs operations of overseas programs with portfolios totaling $5.5 billion • Coordinate strategic communications with senior management, Board of Directors, U.S. Congress, contractors, NGOs, and special interest groups to secure funding, build new constituencies and support • Create effective messages for diverse audiences as part of nationwide domestic campaign to bolster awareness and brand identity of the newest U.S. Government agency • Direct corporation’s relationship with the international and U.S. media, plan and implement strategic outreach to key stakeholders and oversee day-to-day operations of internal and external communications • Manage eight-person team of communications professionals including press officers, event planners, speechwriter and web and media designers • Spearhead comprehensive corporate re-branding and creation of new web-based communications tools • Manage brand identity and internal communications portfolio for the agency and overseas bureaus • Coordinate external communications efforts with public affairs representatives at overseas posts • Develop new media relationships and deepen engagement with NGO communications counterparts
