Daily Duties at John Deere Dubuque Works:

Oversee the daily operations of a skilled-trades department that completes up to 300 experimental projects a months, including modifications, testing, and prototypes with 20 machinists, welders, and fabricators. Take projects from concept and raw steel to final product, using blue prints and engineers’ drawings. Supervise 5 Service Crib Attendants in daily scheduling, planning of delivery and receipt of parts. Schedule, plan and budget labor, material and resources for all areas of responsibility, in a 24x7, on-call environment. Serve as Facilities Group 5S Champion with responsibility for coordinating, training and auditing 16 departmental representatives and other factory areas in all aspects of 5S. Selected to as Dubuque Works Site co-TPM Coordinator Ensure all aspects of ISO, OSHA, HAZMAT, EEO, and other standards and compliance regulations are continuously adhered to.
