Daily Duties at Lbb,Inc:
Direct report to the CEO, leading a corporate management team of 60 personnel responsible for logistics, warehouse management, logistics and Supply Chain Support of the Naval Sea Systems (NAVSEA) Logistics Directorate. Managed an array of Government contracts supporting the U.S. Navy and the Departments of Commerce and Transportation in Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76 studies for conversion of information technology, warehouse operations, distribution, logistics support, data processing and base operations to civil service or contractor. Managed and operated warehouses for NAVSEA specialized inventories in Norfolk and Chesapeake, VA and Barstow, CA, and coordinated NAVSEA activities at Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Cheatam ANNEX. Directed on-site employees at NAVSEA HQ who coordinated the writing of NAVY policy, procedures and coordinated the conduct of Integrated Process Teams (IPT) to streamline NAVSEA activities. Planned, procured and installed all hardware and software in preparation for Y2K (millennium change for all computers), successfully avoiding major problems with computer systems valued at $5 M. Supported all inspections of NAVSEA Supply activities, documenting all activities of the teams and maintaining their reports and correspondence, and performed follow-up of deficiencies to ensure lasting correction. Worked all budget cycles, saving an estimated $10 Million for the Navy, resulting in funds re-allocation for numerous programs that would have been unfunded or under funded and never implemented.
