Daily Duties at Motorola:

Built and managed New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering team to improve programming process at Motorola CFC. Trained NPI engineers in Singapore, China, Brazil, and Korea to drive new process to each regional product design team. Supervised 7 direct-report engineers in the US. Key challenge was to resolve problems at CFC caused by increased need to program and configure phones. KEY CONTRIBUTIONS & ACHIEVEMENTS: - Created and deployed the new hardware and software system to all Motorola CFC sites across 6 countries and successfully integrated the system with each CFC IT/business system, standardizing tool/process across all sites and increasing programming capacity while simplifying the process. - Increased by 21 times the CFC programming throughput by creating and deploying multi-up system to all Motorola CFC sites. Further reduced programming time and improved programming yield, cutting conversion cost, through implementation of ‘early involvement’ process. - Led GSM software team to develop “One File Flash” (1FF) generation tool and process, leading to improved delivery quality and cycle time. This tool/process became standard for all GSM products within Motorola.
