Daily Duties at Tech Team Global, Inc:
Network Administrator on team that managed over 500 Dell and IBM: file and print, backup, application, and web servers for Ford North and South America; primary Admin to manage the day-to-day maintenance for 40 of the 500 servers. Primary duties included monitoring hardware devices, system and applications logs, network services, backups and backup failures (full and incremental on tape drives and hard drives), virus updates, and checks for free space on all hard drives. Audited the server queue, created trouble tickets for server issues, and ensured the Netview buckets are accurate. Scheduled down time, special projects, and Perc Array battery reconditioning for servers and large storage tape units with site managers. Analyzed backups, policies, hardware and communication problems with tape units and RMU connections. Security on Windows 2000 and 2003 enterprise network using Active directories. Responsible for creating folders, adding users, changing objects in the OU, setting up printers, plotters, and cues, with DHCP or TCP/IP protocol. Setup and configured Outlook accounts, remote and hands-on trouble-shooting, and deployed new computers. Backup software included Veritas (V.8.6) Net Backup Data Center and Backup Exec. Array software included Dell Open Managed Array Manager and IBM Server Raid Manager. Folders and file restores for NAS Devices, Folders and file restore for TSM Devices.
