• Worked up all contracts and bid packets,, wrote letters of awards. • Negotiated pricing and other terms of purchase orders Negotiated vendor contracts, as appropriate. Following purchasing business processes.. Quoted materials, procures material, components, equipment and services at the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need. Expedited shortages to meet manufacturing need dates. • Expedited to ensure timely receipt of materials. Monitors and updates commit dates on shortage reports • Followed up on orders, verified delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. • Negotiated vendor contracts, as appropriate. Following purchasing business processes. • Coordinating purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. • Interfaced with Accounting and Receiving to resolve problems. Member of the Ford Quality Supplier Team, and the Motorola World Wide Sourcing Team. The lead Negotiator for yrs 1986-1988 of the following;components, equipment and services.
