Daily Duties at Watership Ltd. D/B/A Transgroup Worldwide Logistics:
Involved in all aspects of daily accounting responsibilities for Watership Ltd. (independent contractor for Transgroup). Including accounts payable/receivable, trade payables, administering employee benefits/health insurance, human resources, payroll, supplies, and scheduling building maintenance. I was also responsible for daily domestic operations for Transgroup. This included overseeing all customer service/operations personnel, negotiating pricing with domestic carriers, and providing a liaison between sales and operations. I devoted a lot of personal attention to assisting with customer tariffs, and providing rate quotations for both domestic and international cargo. I personally handled all traffic to/from Canada, Puerto Rico, and truckloads in and out of Mexico. I also assisted out customers with brokerage and tax issues involved with transporting goods to countries under NAFTA regulations. My responsibilities also included working with Transgroup/Corp (Seattle, WA) on issues involving customer ageing reports, and agent/carrier payables.
