Daily Duties at Adventrx Pharmaceuticals:
• Project Team Leader and management of broad spectrum antiviral drug discovery and development programs including R&D/Preclinical, CMC, Regulatory and Clinical sections of the team • Designed, supervised and interpreted screening, efficacy and mechanistic antiviral studies for therapeutics to HIV, human and avian influenza, HCV, WNV and rhinovirus • Implemented and supervised BSL-2 and BSL-3 and training of all personnel • Directed all pharmacology and toxicology activities associated with antiviral and oncology drug candidate development through IND submission • Developed assays for higher throughput screening and efficacy studies of antiviral drug candidates • Supervised CMC activities for antiviral drug candidates • Lead author on Pharm/Tox section of 3 IND filings and CMC section on 2 IND filings • Assisted in clinical protocol design • Represented company and presented antiviral programs at national and international infectious disease conferences • Attracted attention to the virology program through presentations and interactions at conferences leading to collaboration with national and international infectious disease key opinion leaders on preclinical and clinical studies • Expanded the company’s Intellectual Property through unique findings in HIV and human and avian influenza with application to therapeutic treatment of infected patients
