Daily Duties at Praxair:
As a consultant through Kelly IT Resource at Praxair in Danbury, Connecticut developed, coded and tested new code and fixes to the existing Billing system using PL/1, JCL, DB2 and ISPF Dialog Management facilities for an online and batch based database system. Provided overnight support of batch jobs for the system as needed. Also provided data correction and ad-hoc reports. Was a member of the team that converted to the JD Edwards based Billing System from the legacy Billing system and served on the Help Desk for the changeover. Provided backup on Accounts Receivable system on an AS/400 system. Worked on Hostfax and Rightfax fax systems, and on the Vertex tax system in COBOL. Also documented code for the Logistics systems.
