Daily Duties at Hca Physician Services:
Responsible for the overall operations of four-assigned physician practices. Gave input towards setting and meeting goals for each practice, i.e. budgets, expenses, patient volume, accounts receivable and revenue. Provided leadership in the practices in the planning, developing, organizing and implementation of day to day functions, programs and activities. Mentored managers concerning the operations of their practices’ to assist in meeting corporate standards, eliminating/correcting problem areas, improving customer service and managing their staff. Assisted the start-ups of new physician practices from start to completion, including credentialing. Interviewed, hired, supervised and trained staff members. Selected Contributions: Successfully completed two physician practice start-ups Clinic financial management Accounts receivable reconciliation Strategic planning and project management Acted as liaison between the practices, physicians, division management and hospital administration Consistently met Office Standards, following MGMA guidelines Implemented chart audit process to assure accurate E&M, ICD9 and Procedure coding to optimize reimbursement and decrease denials Developed numerous processes to improve patient care, accurate data collection, training, and reporting Served as area Corporate Compliance Officer, and Facility Privacy Office
