Daily Duties at Metaldyne:
Managed Indirect Materials purchasing for Chassis and Powertrain business groups, including capital equipment, MRO, tooling and services; with an annual buy of approximately $220m. Management tasks included development of commodity strategy by segment, acquisition of cost reductions, savings through supplier development and partnership agreements, launch of e-procurement systems throughout (40) global plants, and facilation of Value Analysis/Value Engineering workshops at supplier sites.
