Provided representation in hearings and depositions for workers= compensation cases. Examined and cross-examined witnesses and performed discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and hearings. Drafted legal documents, demand packages, and correspondence. Negotiated settlements involving medical treatment and lost wages. Resolved client issues such as functional-capacity evaluations. Coordinated and interfaced with attorneys and investigative and court personnel in preparing appropriate pleadings and recommendations on strategy in aid of prosecution or defense. Interviewed and deposed witnesses, argued motions before courts, and actively participated in trials and hearings. Provided the supervision, management, and evaluation of a support staff of eight professionals and paraprofessionals. Achieved expected or better-than-expected results by effectively carrying out all established supervisory responsibility. Performed long- and short-range case planning and efficiently centralized and balanced workload and priorities.
